Nerf Battle

SETUP: 1. Choose a backyard or open outdoor space as your battle arena. 2. Establish boundaries that both players can see and agree upon. 3. Set up cover objects (cardboard boxes, lawn furniture, trees, bushes) throughout the playing area, ensuring both players have roughly equal access to hiding spots. 4. Each player receives a Nerf blaster and a supply of foam darts (suggested 30-50 darts per player). 5. Decide on a game duration (typically 20-30 minutes) or set a target score.

GAMEPLAY: 1. Both players start at opposite ends of the arena behind designated starting lines. 2. On the signal "GO," players begin moving through the arena, using cover strategically. 3. Players can only eliminate opponents by hitting them with foam darts fired from their Nerf blaster. 4. A player is eliminated when hit by a dart anywhere on their body. 5. Eliminated players either sit out until the next round or exit the arena, depending on your chosen format. 6. Players may pick up darts that have been fired and reuse them. 7. No physical contact or tackle attempts are allowed—only blaster-based combat.

VARIATION - MULTIPLE ROUNDS: Play best-of-three or best-of-five matches. After each round, players reset to starting positions with full dart supplies.

VARIATION - TEAM SURVIVAL: If playing with time limits rather than elimination, award 1 point per minute survived without being hit. Highest score wins.

WINNING CONDITIONS: The game ends when (1) one player eliminates their opponent and remains standing, (2) the time limit expires and the player with the fewest hits wins, or (3) all darts are depleted and the player with darts remaining is declared victorious.

KEY RULES: Players must stay within established boundaries. No climbing onto roofs or unsafe structures. Players cannot shield themselves with objects they're not also using for cover. All players must respect the space and property in the play area.
