About This Game

The foundation for many card games, Rummy involves drawing and discarding cards to form melds of sets and runs. Simple rules make it accessible while strategy keeps it interesting.

How to Play

  1. Deal 10 cards to each player
  2. Place remaining cards as draw pile, flip one for discard pile
  3. On your turn: draw from either pile, then discard one card
  4. Form melds: sets (3-4 same rank) or runs (3+ sequential same suit)
  5. Lay down complete melds face-up when desired
  6. May add cards to existing melds (yours or opponent's)
  7. Round ends when someone 'goes out' (empties their hand)
  8. Winner scores: opponent's deadwood value + bonuses for going out
  9. First to 500 points wins
