About This Game

A French bluffing game using only 32 cards with unusual card rankings. Players bet and bluff their way through hands, with the ability to raise stakes dramatically.

How to Play

  1. Use 32-card deck (7 through Ace)
  2. Special ranking: 7, 8, A, K, Q, J, 10, 9 (7 highest!)
  3. Deal 3 cards to each player
  4. Non-dealer leads; opponent plays one card
  5. Higher card wins the trick; same rank = no one wins
  6. First to win 2 tricks wins the hand (worth 1 point)
  7. Before any play, may say 'Truc!' to raise to 2 points
  8. Opponent must accept, re-raise (to 3), or fold
  9. Can raise again to 4, then maximum
  10. Folding concedes current stake to opponent
  11. First to 12 points wins the game
  12. Bluffing is essential - weak hands can win by bold raises!
