About This Game

Each player has seven geometric pieces (tans) and races to form the shape shown on a challenge card. This ancient Chinese puzzle becomes competitive when two players race head-to-head.

How to Play

  1. Each player has a set of 7 tangram pieces (2 large triangles, 1 medium triangle, 2 small triangles, 1 square, 1 parallelogram)
  2. Flip a challenge card showing a silhouette shape
  3. Both players simultaneously arrange their pieces to match the shape
  4. All 7 pieces must be used
  5. Pieces must lie flat and not overlap
  6. First to complete the shape correctly wins the round
  7. Play a series of rounds; most wins takes the match
