About This Game

A two-player variant of Pinochle using a 48-card deck. Players meld combinations and then play tricks for additional points.

How to Play

  1. Use 48-card Pinochle deck (2 copies of 9-A in each suit)
  2. Deal 12 cards each
  3. Bid for right to name trump, starting at 250
  4. Winner declares trump and melds combinations
  5. Melds include: marriages, pinochles, arounds, runs
  6. Both players lay down valid melds for points
  7. Then play 12 tricks
  8. Must follow suit, must trump if void, must beat if trumping
  9. Card values: A=11, 10=10, K=4, Q=3, J=2
  10. Bidder must make their bid or go set
