An English trick-taking game with a unique twist: collecting cards of certain colors earns bonus points. Originally played for small stakes in pubs and homes.

How to Play

  1. Use 52-card deck
  2. Deal 5 cards each
  3. Turn up one card as trump indicator
  4. Non-dealer leads first trick
  5. Must follow suit if possible
  6. Highest card of led suit wins (unless trumped)
  7. Collect red cards (hearts/diamonds) for points
  8. Each red pip card = face value in points
  9. Red face cards = 10 points each
  10. Game to agreed target score
