A French trick-taking game for two players where all cards are visible. An open-information variant of the popular Belote, requiring pure strategy without luck of the draw.

How to Play

  1. Use 32-card deck (7s through Aces)
  2. Deal all cards face-up in rows visible to both players
  3. Players alternate selecting cards to add to their hands
  4. Once hands are formed, play tricks
  5. Must follow suit if possible
  6. Trump suit beats other suits
  7. Jacks and Nines high in trump (J-9-A-10-K-Q-8-7)
  8. Score for card points and declarations
  9. First to 1000 points wins
